What is bone grafting?
Bone Grafting is a process we use to help replace lost natural bone in the jaw to improve the success of dental implant integration.
Some patients may not have suitable amounts of bone in their jaw due to trauma or tooth loss from decay or gum disease, which is when a bone graft may be required. Grafted bone can be taken from another part of your jaw or created artificially.
Will you need bone grafting?
In order for a dental implant to be successful, there needs to be enough bone available to provide a good base to support them. This is something that the team at our clinic will be able to assess for you.

Am I suitable to receive a bone graft?
Most patients suffering from bone loss are generally suitable for this type of treatment as it is designed to regenerate and replace lost or damaged bone. The best way to find out is to arrange a free consultation with one of our team.
What does the bone grafting process involve?
Natural harvested bone, or synthetic bone substitutes, are used to build up and replace the jaw bone where the original bone has been lost. Any synthetic products are then absorbed by the body as the bone heals and regenerates.
How much does bone grafting cost?
The cost of bone grafting will vary from patient to patient depending on how much grafting is required. The cost will be discussed in full before treatment takes place and can be added to your treatment plan, or as part of a payment plan.

Danni who has again been hygienist for several years is absolutely amazing. Again, calm friendly and very much a people person, thorough and professional. She is a fantastic hygienist my teeth always feel great when I’ve had a visit with her.
I recently completed a fairly extensive course of treatment with Marcus and his team. This involved replacing an old implant and adding two more. I was involved in all decision making and every step was fully explained. Marcus is clearly a very skilled professional. He and the other staff at Cape Road were friendly and approachable. I'm thrilled to have a mouth full of robust teeth and I thoroughly recommend this practice to anyone considering dental work.

To say that I’m chuffed is an understatement! Had to have a wisdom tooth removed due to it being broken. Anna did an absolutely amazing job, made me feel very comfortable, explained the whole situation and had my tooth out in no time. I would recommend Anna to any one! Friendly staff all throughout!
